Splitfire Broadheads
I was wondering if anyone has had any good luck with these broadheads for deer hunting. My buddy shot them and had a buck only run 30 yards before tipping over after making a quartering away shot through both lungs. I have heard really good things about these heads and am wondering how much luck others are having with them.

If you hit a deer at 30 yards through both lungs with a spear it won't go far,so don't let that be the determining factor.Alot has to do with your bow set up(draw weight, arrow weight, kinetic energy etc.)I think there are better choices for mechanical broadheads(rocket steelheads) but may be 5 shot can give a bit more insight here,I'm sure he has tested these heads.

They are very well made and sharp. They fly great and penetrate reasonably well. they don't open as fast as some other heads, but those that use them seem to like the performance. I would recomend at least 55 ft/lbs of Kinetic energy to make sure you get good penetration and make sure your bow is tuned well.
