Jeff, what a difference in three years, I am shocked!!! 300 % increase o'man.
I'm embarrassed to say the least, having made this referral. What a partner he must have hooked up with!!! Back in 2000, the hunts were unguided, I used my own stands and chose my own spots. The class or age of animal was not a factor either, things sure have changed!!
Sorry about that man.

The guy's name is Ron Edwards on some place called Summit Seed, they have 57 Stands set up on 3000 acres, everything is fully guided, I am not sure if the Cross family owns it anymore! They use the same old farmhouse, but it has changed! Oh well, time to find another place!

Jeff I had arranged my hunt with a guy named Bill Cross, at that time the family's estate, (Cross), had owned about 300 acres and was in the process of buying another plot close by. I am completely oblivious when it comes to Ron Edwards, but you're absolutely correct, sure sounds like the time to find another spot.
Best of luck ahead.

Yes that did happened, but then they either sold it, or they changed names, and then they implemented a Trophy Management process and all, reminds me of Pike County, way overpriced!

Any info you could send my way regarding "Access Illinois" would be greatly appreciated. Like yourself...I'm pretty self sufficient in hanging stands and taking care of myself in the woods. Looking forward to your info!!!Thanks.

I would highly recommend Hadley Creek Outfitters in Pike County IL. I live here and know most of the outfitters in the area. Seen alot of trophy bucks leave that camp and they are very friendly people. Check them out at hadleycreekoutfitters.com. You could also check out eaglelakesoutfitters.com

I have been to this place 2 years in a row. This past season I took my biggest buck ever with a bow (10 pointer) and the week before 3 bowhunters took a 190 class, a 150 and a 120. Check out their website: www.copperscreek.com
