Hoyt Protec?

Was wondering who shoots a protec here on this board...I want a new bow for next season and was wondering how easily and forgiving this bow was?? Also, is this bow very accurate/ consistent? Thanks a bunch!!also, do you really have to shoot this bow with fingers?? I'd rather shoot a release. Thanks!!

I shoot a 02 protec with lxpro limbs and the accuwheel. Awsome bow I do shoot fingers. I shoot this set up with fingers as well as I shot my Buckmaster with a release. It is very forgiving which is crucial for a finger shooter. There are alot of people who shoot the protec with a release and with the new cam 1/2 and say either the 2000 or 3000 or even the lxpro limbs you would probablly get plenty of speed as well as forgiveness with the deflex design. I highly recomend the protec. I shoot mine at 60 and use it for hunting people often dismiss my set up as a good target bow but not fast enough for hunting. They missed the boat as far as I'm concerned I'll take a slow hit over a fast miss anyday.

I absolutely love my 2002 Protec, but I'm drooling over the 04's as well. You can't go wrong. I would suggest getting atleast an 2003 with the cam and 1/2. They seem to be a tad bit faster, but just as forgiving.
