Default Anyone using the Bowhunter' s Release Mitt?

Hi-

I am relatively new to bowhunting. I live and hunt in the Nebraska panhandle - near Wyoming - and it gets pretty darned cold out here! Anyway - wondered if anyone out there has used the Bowhunter' s Release Mitt? Looks like it should be a pretty decent product, but I wanted to see if anyone here has used it? How well does it work?
I saw an ad for it in Turkey Call magazine - and they have some information at www.sherwoodarchery.com

Anyone who can pass along experience with this product?

Thanks in advance for your time and help!

Somebody would have to do some convincing to make me try it. I would be afraid of the mitt triggering the release when drawing back.

Hmm, it looks cool and all. I could do the exact thing with an oversize mitt with a hole cut in it, using my Scott Li' l Goose. I' d rather have cold fingers and be sure of not hittin that trigger, though. Not to mention, numb fingers make you slowly pull the trigger, since you can' t hardly feel it! [:-]

On triggering the release - not sure how that would impact the release...
I guess having your hand and the release contained is what you are referring to?

Seems like the product is fairly new, as I have not seen it in use yet either...

I might give it a shot and see how it works. If I do try one out - I' ll report back and let you guys know how it works out.

Thanks for the response and advice!

Take care-

I prefer a pocket with a handwarmer for both bow and gun hunting. I dont like anything encumbering my shooting hand.

I have been testing one for a product review and it is awesome. There is no interference at all. I will post some photos tonight.

I' ve been using it also. I use a peep sight and it doesn' t seem to affect my anchorpoint at all. I use it with a Cobra release...I don' t know if it works with other releases though.

I did not get the photos done. I will get them over the weekend. I use tru-fire releases and it worls great. I tried it with my Carter Target Master 2 and it was a little more difficult, but very useable.
