TRAP DOOR REST
 

I was looking at the Trap Door dropaway rest and was fascinated by the no string, no spring, no linkage part of it and was wondering it any of ya' ll ever tried one and what is your opinion on it.

Purchased one last week. Guy at the bow shop highly highly recommended it. If anyone comes in and is interested in a new rest he goes right to them. He and his 3 boys all use. He swears by it. So I now have one. So far, so good. Don' t have any complaints. Set it up Friday evening. Shot one Saturday evening! I really like it becuase of the lack of cords or strings. It is based on inertia. I' ve read alot of good things about them. But everyone has their own opinion!

:)You will like the rest, I have found it to be very reliable for two seasons now. I alo reccomend getting the dakota arrow holder. It works great with this rest. I think the model number is 007.

The only problem I forgot to mention was with the sensitivy setting low on mine. I have to make sure I draw smoothly or the rest will fall. Just a little adjustment to the way I draw and it is no problem now. Nothing to worry about.

Got it on my LX and really like it. Set-up is easy, tuning was flawless and performance so far has been excellent.

Titleist: you should have a set-screw that you can adjust the sensitivity on the tap of the rest.

I have adjusted it. The instructions say to set it to where you can barely cock it when the bow is at a 90 degree angle. Another thing I thought about doing to make my draw smoother is maybe lessen the poundage a couple pounds.

Question: Does that rest make any noise after the shot?

You will need to place mole skin or similar product on the riser to avoid rest to riser contact noise. I put mole skin on all of my risers, I then put another layer in the area where the rest drops. No noise!!!

The rest really is pretty quiet!! Hard to go wrong with this rest.
