New summit stand question
 

Has anyone tried the new Summit stands that folds down??? I think it is called broad head..What are the advantages/ disadvantages to the regular models???

The Summit rep told me the only difference is that the upright arms are attached with a bolt rather than welded, that way the arms can be folded down flat for backpacking.

Beyond that they are supposed to be identical to the regular stands

They " work" the same, but the new folding stands are much easier to backpack. It takes a bit longer to set the new models up and get hunting, but only a min or so, and the carry a lot better. I have a broadhead I plan on using a good deal this year. So far it works great and is comfortable, quiet and stable. I will let you know more at the end of the season, but so far I am very impressed with how the stand preforms.
