Vital Bow Gear
Does anybody have much information on this company. I am looking at buying a new Mathews LX and the Pro shop that I am going through is trying to convince me to put on a Vital bow gear Tombstone sight and a Vital Bow Gear Ultimate Fall Away rest. I just have never heard of either of these or of the Vital Bow Gear line of products. I am worried that I am buying a top notch bow, but I am not puting on top notch equipment to go with it. Any replies or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

RE: Vital Bow Gear
i thought i posted on this already , anyway i have the older model fallaway rest , when the company was called sme , i got it used from one of the guys at the shop, it is truly an awesome rest, and lot cheaper than an mze , the difference between the new and old is the new one has microadjust and the old one does not.

RE: Vital Bow Gear
The VBG stuff is very well made. I doubt you will find pins brighter than on the VBG sights. The guys I hunt with actually have to put black electrical tape on some of the fiber to dim the pin in direct sunlight (it creates a halo effect due to the brightness)...however they are the last ones to loose sight of their pins when it gets dark.
The fallaway rest is just awesome. I presently have a GKF Mirage that will be replaced with the VBG fallaway at the end of this season. BTW: Their arrows are top notch. I have had a dozen or so, and have never broken one....I' ve lost a few but never broken one. |
RE: Vital Bow Gear
I bought a Mathews Legacy and put a VBG Trapper vertical sight on it. It' s awesome! Super bright, all metal, micro adjustable, and rugged. I' d set up a LX with one without thinking twice. Good luck with your new bow.

RE: Vital Bow Gear
I posted this in another thread, but the pros at my local shop suggested the same equipment for the LX I just ordered. One of the techs has his setup with a VitalBowGear sight, rest & stabilizer. It is a very sweet setup.
