Maxima Reds - Any Good Critiques?

In general manufacturers work hard to write up fantastic, jargon ladened marketing material for their new products.

Maxima has written quite a bit about their Maxima Red arrows.

Has anyone come across a good critique challenging the claims?

I am new to carbon arrows. So I am just trying to learn as much as I can before I purchase.

Have not shot the RED's yet but I have shot carbon express Maxima's for years and they are a great arrow.

IMO way over marketed, way over hyped, and way over priced. You'd have to be a world class shooter to be able to tell the difference between them and something like an inexpensive Gold Tip XT.

That being said, with all the improvements in carbon arrows over the years, one of the best arrows an average person can buy is still Easton ACC's and they've been around, basically unchanged for 20 years.

I switched from maxima hunter 450s to the maxima reds. Thier claim is they only need 2 spines due to the new technology so I got the stiffer of two.

My non Scientific results were that the reds did not group as well as the maxima hunters. I can't say if it was a spine or the weight forward design of the hunters is better. But I sold the reds and went back to the hunters.

Just started shooting the reds for about the last month and they are awesome arrows for me! Group better than my Eastons and so far have had no problems with them.
