bowtech assassin or hoyt spider

I was curious if you guys thought Hoyt spider was really worth the extra 200 dollars compared to the bowtech assassin wich comes in a kit

I would say that it is if the Hoyt fits you better than the Assassin. Them are 2 completely different bows. I had the Assassin and it is a pretty nice bow and for the money it is hard to beat. I would shoot both before I even considered buying them really.

Exactly what Chaded stated. The price of bows has gone through the roof over the past several years. Martin is about the only company I know that has kept their prices at an average Joe's affordable level. The problem is with these higher priced bows is that people still buy them - including me.
But in my opinion, price should be the last thing you look at when buying a bow.More important is how it feels in you hand, how it feels when you draw it and shoot it, and how well you can shoot it. Confidence is a major part of shooting a bow. If you're not confident in making a shot you will force the shot and that can only lead to problems in form, missing or even worse, wounding an animal.

Can't speak about the Bowtech but can about the Spyder. Prior to the Spyder I was shooting a Maxxis and thought they could never come up with a better shooting bow until I shot the Spyder. On the first shot I was convinced and walked out of the store with it. The best thing is for you to shoot it and decide for yourself.

I have 2 Assasin's and I can say that before I bought them I tried every bow on the market. For the price it is the way to go. If you want 22fps more get the Insanity. Other than that Bowtech is the way to go. Basspro shops and Cabelas thought so cause they are having Bowtech make all there Bows.
