time to upgrade from a york pro classic

my dad and i havent bow hunted since i was about 15 when her hurt his shoulder im 21 now and have recently gotten back in to the game hes slowly geting there as well hes had been shooting a york pro classic since about 1994 and the string broke a year or 2 ago when were just shooting for the hell of it im trying to convince him to buy the martin threshold cuz its reasonable price and has a decent let off of 75% whats a better idea put a new string on the classic or buy the new bow

My first bow was a Martin Lynx. sense then I've owned a Jennings buckmaster and a Mathews Legacy. I wouldn't want to shoot anything but a Mathews now. Tried the Mathews Helim out and loved it. Haven't tried the creed out but may this coming summer. You should try them out. They run about $800 where we live.

I would say your dad would be better off buying a new bow. they are faster and much smoother than the bows of the 90's
