Bought a MATHEWS LX tonite

said i would never pay 659.00 for a bow, but got tired of messing with my other bows and went to the pro-shop to try out some new bows and i ended up w/the LX.Only shot it for about 15 minutes while i was there, but after it was set up i busted 2 clothspins w/it at 20 yds, one of the quietest and smoothest bows i have ever shot. I have it at 72 lbs. and it feels like im drawing 65 lbs or a little less, dont have any string silencers or stabilizer and its still quieter than both my browning and golden eagle with all the limb saver stuff and stabilizers.By the time i left the shop i had a cosmic impact 3 pin sight, alpine soft-loc 5 arrow quiver, whisker bicuit side load rest, string loop and peep, also 906.00 less in the wallet, had some arrows refletched also.Ihave to say that no more than i got to shoot the bow i believe its worth the money.Does anybody shoot a stabilizer on their LX and if so what kind, the owner of the shop said i really didnt need one, i only feel a little vibration at the shot.GOOD HUNTING/DEAN-OCT.1ST IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER

You may not need a stabilizer on your LX from a shock absorbing standpoint with a hunting weight arrow!
A stabilizers first job is to balance the bow at the shot and make it harder to torque the the bow, tightning your groups and making you more consistant!
I have sold alot of the 6 inch Stealth stabilizers to LX owners.....and from the reports im getting back the 6 inch Stealth hunter seems to balance that bow very well.
The shock absorbing and sound deadning qualitys of todays top of the line stabilizers such as the Stealth, is an added benifit to the better accuracy they provide!

Congrats on the new bow. Mathews makes some great stuff and you won' t be disappointed. I shoot a Legacy and use a small 2" Doinker on mine.:D

Stabilizer I use is the Doinker D2 7" Hunter. Don' t know that it makes a difference, but man is this the best bow I have shot since my MQ-1.

Way to go!! That' s the bow I have my eye on as well!! I currently own a Mathew' s Ultra-Light for the last 8 seasons now, and if their newer bows are any indication of the quality that they put into the one that I have, the newer ones must be super!!;)

Hey Congrats on the bow!!! Have my eye on one but the wallet is too thin to take that step. Ah but I am jealous. Envious yet.

By the way what is your home address and plz give directions to the house so I can come " help you shoot it" . Just kidding.

It happened to me also, just not as quick. I shot alot of bows but the LX was made for me. I put on a $20 (on sale) 7" shocker, the only reason is that to me it helps me balance a little better, and I need all the help I can get. Good luck....

Congratulations on the purchase. Sounds like that bow will give you many satisfactory hunts. [8D]
