Martin Cougar

My new Martin Cougar arrived last week. Finally got time to put the Ripcord, Black Gold 7 pin Rush sight and Tight Spot quiver on the bow and shoot it. After 100 arrows or so I am impressed. Shoot similar to my 2008 Martin Slayer but a couple of fps. slower. Getting 307 fps. with a 385 grain arrow 70 lbs. and set at 30.5 inch draw. Plenty fast for hunting out west here. Got my arrows tuned in a matter of a few minutes. Looking forward to archery season the 1st of September. Still need to shoot some slick tricks with it but sure they will work great as they do with my slayer.

Slicks are a great BH. They fly exactly like FTs from a properly tuned bow. I wish I could get speed like that. But my problem is my short 28" draw. My 55-70 lb bow I can only hit 64# peak wt and 265 fps.
