Default limb splinter?

I noticed the other day that my bows top limb has a splinter or something that resembles a splinter about 2 inch long coming off of it. Should I be worried? Its less then a year old, so if its not a major problem I was going to return it after the season because I dont want to go through the hassles of tuning and setting it all up in the middle of season. What do you hunters think?

Thanks

agree...a splitner is not good..did ya dry fire it or use it as an anchor to get away from bad guys?

Croc - is it an actual splinter of the limb itself or is it a piece of the finish coming off?
To be safe I would take it to a dealer to have it looked at. As for tuning a new bow - that shouldn't take more than an hour or so if the initial set up is done properly.
