Bowtech?

I was looking into purchasing my first bow, and thinking about the Bowtech Tomkat. The gys at the archery pro shop said it is perfect because it is not too expensive and it is a great bow. Any other opinions on this setup?

I think its a great first bow! My local proshop has sold a bunch of these and there' s alot of guys practicing at the range this time of year. From looking at the groups most of them are shooting, they' ve got to be pretty happy!!

Good Luck with your first rig!

The Tomcat is an exceptional value. 31" ATA makes it good for treestand & thick brush hunting. Some people just prefer short bows. 27-32" draw should provide a good fit for you. 9" brace is very generous in accommodating any clothing. The accessories provided are all well made & matched to the bow. My brolaw has one & likes it very well (even better after I set it up properly for him). I' ve shot it & feel it' s plenty quiet & sweet shooting.

Yep, A terrific value in a Treestand style hunting bow..........A light quick and VERY VERY quiet bow with a huge brace height.
I usually go off the deep end and buy a few real " High End" bows every year, and even so I was seriously considering picking one up for hunting this season.
Even with my affinity for $700 bows I would be perfectly happy owning and hunting with a Tomkat..... great little bow.

Same thoughts here. I sort of wish I would have tried the Tomkat before picking up my SD Rhino. If it shoots anywhere near as well as the Patriot SC then it would be a top notch hunting bow in my book. The specs definitely are appealing even for such a short axle to axle length bow.
