Square Up Bow Sight
 

Has anyone ever heard of the “Square Up”? From what I’ve seen on the videos it works in conjunction with your bow site. It supposed to instantly show you if you bow is torqued to the right or the left after draw.

Tried to search for it on here but turned up nothing.

Dang near every bow on the market torques due to the cables being pulled to the side for clearance and the cables loading up in weight and the string unloading weight as you draw the string.

This product will show you the torque and force you to actually grip the bow to eliminate that torque. Not something I would want to do. I want the bow to act the same way every time with as little input by me as possible.

You sound confident in you thought process but this has me thinking…

I kept on searching for information and user experiences with this device and most said that it has helped them.

Wouldn’t a bows natural mechanical torque be the same every time you draw? Meaning once you’re sighted in you shouldn’t have to compensate?

I think this product is trying to provide the shooter instant information regarding the amount of hand torque they are subjecting to the riser. I think hand torque and mechanical torque are different things and the shooters enemy is more so the hand torque once the bow is properly tuned.

Yes it would. But listening to the video at 38 seconds the guy talks about setting the bow up to shoot center shot and talks about the "sweet spot" where a bow will shoot down the center. The only way to eliminate bow torque and get most bows to shoot down the center of the riser is to grip the bow to straighten it back up. Most bows will not tune properly shooting down the center of the riser unless you grip the bow pretty hard.

No, you would be correct in thinking this. This is not how the owner is selling the product though. He's wanting the shooter to set up the bow to shoot down the center and to get a bow to do this you would have to grip the handle of the bow.

If the shooter adjusts it so that it and the pins align with the natural torque that nearly all bows exhibit so that you can see if you are doing something wrong because you are shooting from an awkward position then I can see it helping. Just not the way he seems to be trying to market the product.

Thinking about trying it myself. So far i've tried the No Peep, Eliminator, and Hind Sight...didn't like any of them.
