need advice
I am thinking of buying a new bow to get into hunting as well as target shooting. I was thinking of a bow that has 50 to 60 pound draw weight, can shoot close to the 300 fps mark and is light. I would like to stay below 500$ including the set up. Is this just wishful thinking or is it possible? I would like something that is going to last. Any ideas?

I would look into the mission venture bow. It is around $400 and from what I read a great bow for the price. I have the mission eliminator and love it. It is similar to the venture. Short, light and fast. Mission makes great bows at nice prices. Scoot

I'd try and get my hands on a 2011 Martin Exile. Great bow and inexpensive.

2012 PSE brute X.
Honest to God you'll think this bow costs 700 - 800 bucks. It's costs $499 complete except for arrows and release. http://pse-archery.com/products/cate...0#.TtW5umOBq0s |
Look at a used Elite. Great bows that combine smoothness and speed and have a lifetime warranty to boot.

I would recommend a Hoyt Carbon Matrix.

There are a lot of bows out there that meet your criteria. My advise is to shoot them and see which one feels good to you. You will be more confident. Good luck.

Check ebay for new/leftover clearance deals. You can save a few hundred bucks as I did on a brand new bow with full warranty.Good luck!
