I'd put a slick trick up against any broadhead currently on the market. Strength, flight, total cut, and penetration.
Muzzy 3 blade 100gr. Great strength, durability, flight, penetration, and cutt. You can shoot multiple animals with the same broadhead and it still looks great.
Depends, what draw weight? 60# and up I like the slick tricks. Under the 60# mark I prefer the Magnus stinger or muzzy phanthom.
Rage 2 blade 100 grain.
NAP, 125gr. Thunderhead.

Sonic heads are very underrated but are the best BHs Ive ever used. Penetration is unbelievable! Ive shot around 10 deer with sonics since 07' and almost everyone, regardless of the angle, was a complete pass thru. they are not a big head but they put alot of blood on the ground. They also fly better than any fixed head Ive ever used. I think limbsaver now makes them but I still dont see them promoted much anywhere. There usually about 40$/6 but Ive seen them on clearance on cabelas site and ebay for as low as a 1$ a head.

G 5 TEKKANS have always good for me and easy replacing the blades, no little screws to mess with.
Never used anything but Muzzy 100 gr. 3 blade. I have zero complaints.
Triton Wacems small head but they put them down.
Magnus 4 blade 100 grain Stinger! I too would put it against anything on the market!
Its toughness, durability, flight pattern, penetration, and its price & warranty! lifetime warranty if it tears up your fault or not send it back and Mr.Sohm will send you another no questions asked. also will thank you for your business! |
TR ROCKET AEROHEAD 75GR. flies identical to my field points.never had one fail me and I've been using them since 2003.i've killed alot of deer with them including 2 impressive bucks 212lbs and a 215lber field dressed.cut rib on the trip in shredded both lungs and cut rib on the trip out. and thats with a 1 3/4 INCH HOLE!
i guess i was having a senior moment last night. i forgot to mention the broadhead i use is the TR rocket aerohead MINI BLASTER 3 75 grn.
I used the Grim Reapers Razortip 100 Grain 1 3/4 cut this past season and liked them real well.So they are my favorite.:)
Muzzy 3 blade 100 grain
Grim Reapers mechanical
Slick Trick fixed |
Muzzy 100gr. 3 blade for me!
Tru Fire T1 there doing a great job for me.Before them it was allways magnus stinger buzzcuts. They both work great out of fast bows.
Slick Trick for 4 legged critters. This year I will be trying Grim Reapers 2" cut for turkey.
Nap- Razorbak 100gr. I love the cut on contact, and fact blades can spin on shaft. I truly believe this helps w/penetration on a spinning arrow at contact. I've used them since came out, and have NEVER lost a deer. Even when my shots haven't been as perfect as I'd like.
NAP Spitfire (Maxx)
I tried the Grizztricks and switched back to the NAP Nightmare.
GrimReapers, 100grn. Over 35 deer and countless hogs without 1 loss. And just like they advertise "Watch them drop"!!!! Have never had one travel over 100yds. Most drop within 50yds.
My favorite broadhead is so old . . .
newbies never heard of it, and therefore wouldn't use it. It would break the newbies code of conduct, to use an item that was developed more than ten years ago.
Have had real good results with the g5 strikers and wasp hitek. I would have to give muzzy 3 blade 100 grain heads my favorite head status though. Not super expensive, great customer service, good cutting diamater, real tough. I can get a 6 pack for less than a 3 pack of competitors heads.
G5 Montec 100gr. One piece construction, flight is same as field point, no replacement part and next to impossible to destroy. You are either hunting with them or they are lost. I taken a lot of deer, elk, bear, coyotes and bobcat the G5's. Jim
NAP Spitfire 100 gr.
Montec CS 100's- sharp, once piece carbon steel!
Muzzy 3 blade 100gr. here also. The Shuttle T-Lock 100gr. 3 blade works and flies well also.
Crimson Talon XT six blade 100 gr. I used 4 blade Muzzy 90's for a lot of years with many good shots equating into little or no blood trails. This was the first year I used the Crimsons. Massive entry and exit holes with lots of blood.
Cannot go wrong with Slick Trick Mags!

NAP Bloodrunner 2 blade
I used this broadhead for the first time this year. In fact, it's the first time I used anything other than a NAP thunderhead 100. I have purchased and considered other expendables and fixed, but just didn't feel confident in them after practicing on targets. This blade flew like a field point, and devistated the deer from 30yds. It's my new choice of broadhead. |
I like my Swhackers 125g. petty good.
125 grain G5 Montecs

Been using Rage 2's for 3 years now and have no plans on switching to another brand.
I like the 100gr NAP Spitfires for my Vortex X-Bow. Also have some of the tru-fire mech. I am going to try out.
