Go with a QAD ultra or Ripcord rest. HHA, Spot Hogg, or Viper sights. Those are my favorites. Depending on your budget, there are other quality rests and sights at lower price points as well.

Rest
I like the Trophy Taker Shakey Hunter arrow rest. The arrow does not fall off. I have used it for years and never had any problems. Plus it works off the string...not mechanical to break down. http://www.trophytaker.com/shakey_hunter.aspx Sight Trophy Ridge makes great sights. TruGlo is good too. http://www.trophyridge.com/sights/hitman/ |
It really depends on what you want to spend. If I were replacing both on a limited budget, I'd make sure I purchased a good rest before a premium site.
As for drop aways, there are a lot of good choices out there. For me, I highly recommend the Limbdriver from Vaportrail. Its stupidly simply to setup and is easy to tune. No need to tie anything into a cable and worry about effecting letoff, holding weight, etc. If you are competent working on bows, you can have it setup and ready to shoot in 10-15 minutes. I personally use Spot Hogg sights, though they are pretty pricey. I've had one on my hunting bow now for 4 years and don't ever see a need to change anytime soon. The sight will most likely outlast me. But again, for one of their mid to upper end sights, you're looking at 150 to 200 dollars. If you can't spend that, I'd recommend looking into the Copper John line. Ruggedly built and bright pins. They have a pretty good following and have been around for some time. |
A 2nd vote for Rip Cord. Absolutely love mine.

i got a good deal on a trophy taker smackdown, so i bought that

rip cord, trophy taker, or nap all make good drop aways. as far as sights. hha is #1 imo and viper and spott hogg are very sights also

Without a doubt the NAP Apache. Solid as a rock, quiet and easy to set up.

I have been enjoying my Trophy Ridge Drop Shot that I had put on it last year. It does attach to the cable and that is no big deal to me. I also put on the Cobra Boomslang lighted site and that works ok. I would like to go with a Spothog site though.

Another vote for the limb driver. Had mine a few years with zero issues and it works great.
