Default Lady hunter needs advice

I am needing advice on what would be some good choices for a bow.
My draw length is about 26 inches and I am now pulling 47 pounds. I don' t really want to go over 50. I want the hardest hitting bow I can find. (I don' t shoot like a girl)

For a hard hitting short draw bow I dont think you could go past either of the Bowtech BlackKnights they have weight ratings from 50lb.

I would go to a shop and try out many different bows. The one that you have the most confidance in and shoot accuratelly is going to be the best bow, regardless of how " hard" it hits. Shoot as many as they have. Don' t be afraid to tell them that one or the other is not right for you. Then get out there and whack' em and stack' em!

Good luck

Do you shoot with a release or fingers? Do you like a smooth draw or one with a radical cam? All bow makers have good bows. I' m a Mathews shooter myself but the others are right, try several and settle on the one you like the best.

I' m a Mathews shooter, but from what I have read, some of the the Bowtechs are smooth drawing, very light, compact, have large brace heights, and are exceptionally fast for short draw length archers. JMO.

My aunt just got into bowhunting the last couple years. She bought a Parker bow at the end of last season and wouldn' t trade it for the world. Parker can get you a good setup with their " outfitter" package.

http://www.parkerbows.com

Check them out, but be sure to shoot as many bows in your price range as possible and go with the one you are most comfortable shooting, Not the hardest hitting. Speed is nothing, if you don' t have accuracy. And any " adult" bow on the market now is capable of dropping the biggest deer in the woods as long as the shot is placed well.

Good luck with what you choose!

Shoot them all and see what feels good to you, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Although, we had some problems getting it in (because it was a flag bow), my wife has been shooting the Hoyt Razortec the last couple of weeks. It really seems to be a great bow. Make sure you try it out.

Thanks for all the input! My computer has been down so I am just now reading some of the replies. I liked the bowtech and the hoyt but I ended up getting an alpine and I really like it so far. Again thanks for all the replies.
