Moutrie D-40 Trail Cams
I have had 6 different Moutrie D-40 trail cams over the past three years. Problems ranged from bad clocks to the cameras failing to power up. Moutrie replaced two for me last year and one has failed this year just after the 1 year warranty and I'm stuck with it. Image quality was marginal with these cameras, moving deer were blurred many times. Stay away from the D-40 or Moultrie altogether.

Have had no promblems what so ever
I dont want to pay $300.00 for a camera.
I did pay $170 for both my infra red Moultree on sale each and now have four going on the second year. Working for me!:happy0001: DB Moultree makes a good camera for the priice. |
I use the D-40's as well. Over 3 years and 6 cameras I have only had one give any problems, the flash stopped working. It was still under warranty and they shipped me a new camera within 3 days of recieving mine. I have good clear pictures and a lot of them. I hope I don't jinx myself by posting this reply but I have had really good luck with them. I have bought all mine but 1 from sportsmans guide. I couldn't beat $89.00 each.

I own a Moultrie D-40, a Moultrie Infrared camera, and a cuddeback. Hands down the cuddeback is the easiest to use, simplest to operate, and always catches the picture because of the super fast trigger time. I wish I could take back the other 2 and get more cuddebacks. they really are the best, in my personal opinion taken from experience.

my budy uses a cuddeback and he loves it over his moultrie cameras which I can totaly understand. Dollar for dollar you can't go wrong with the moultire D-40's, in my opinion. I am wanting to upgrade to a cuddeback someday just to test them out but I can buy 2-3 D-40's for the price on one cuddeback.

I forgot to say that I have still had many great pictures from my D-40, and for the price it's certainly a good camera. But nothing compares to my Cuddeback!
