I am a completely new hunter and have researched and researched. I didnt want to jump into a 500 dollar bow before i even have my first hunt so i bought a Precision Edge Series 3060(older bow) with all the odds and ends. Does anyone have any input on the quality of this bow. It is in great shape but im new to bowhunting. HAvent been able to find any write ups on it or anything in the search function on this forum. I picked it up for $150 since it has the whisper biscuit, sight, stabilizer bar, and about a dozen arrows. Good deal?

I'm to new to the sport to know anything about the Bow myself, but I don't think you can go wrong for the price. I have an older Bear set-up for about the same money. I figure I'll hunt with it this season, and if I still want a new bow next season, I'll have a better idea of what I want and need.

As long as it is reasonbly quiet, and you can consistently hit your target with it, it will be an acceptable hunting bow. I spent just a little more on my first bow 2 years ago and took 2 deer with it before upgrading this month.
Be sure that the draw length and pull are right for you. Also, be sure the string is in good condition, and if not replace it.
