Default Cabela's CLR1200 vs Nikon Prostaff 550 rangefinders

They are both the same price at Cabela's now.
Cabela's CLR1200 Laser Rangefinder 199.88
Nikon ProStaff 550 Laser Rangefinder 199.99
I figure with the 1200 you can probably measure farther but from what I've read they both would measure out to 300 yds. That would be the farthest shot I would ever get around here.
They both would work for archery as well.
I'm not sure if they are both fog and water proof or the difference in modes.Which one would you recommend? Thanks
