Default Best safety harness for bowhunting...

Hey guys, new to the site. This will be my second year hunting. Found this site about a month ago and have just been reading all the past post and finding answers to most of my questions.

Last year I used the safety harness that came with the summit climber I bought. It is just your basic safety harness and it worked well for me most of the time, but I did have one problem. I was in a ladder stand and had deer to my right and behind me. I had to turn in the stand and being right handed I went to draw back and the line attached to the tree was in my way and I couldn't come to complete draw and was not able to get a shot off.

Does anybody have any experiences with a harness that allows all shooting angles?

I have the one Paul Brunner made back when he owned Screaming Eagle.I don't know if they're still available but it's an excellent harness and allows shooting in any direction. With the slip knot you can adjust the length for different size trees as well.

I use a hunter safety systems harness and it works great. The thing I like best about it is during late season I wear it under my jacket and it still works great. deerman
