HOYT/REFLEX

What is the difference between these two bows, besides shape and price? both made by the same company. I do have a reflex on order, dont like the curved
bar on riser of hoyt.

RE: HOYT/REFLEX

Reflex is basically Hoyt' s mail order line of bows. In terms of components, the Reflex models use Hoyt' s less expensive ZR200 limbs coupled with previous year model limb pockets, a rubber grip and slightly less adjustable Cam and a Half eccentrics. Those are about the only differences that I can think of off of the top of my head.

Besides being rubber grips, the Reflex grips are way bigger. I prefer the smaller grips on the 2003 HOYT bows. That " curved bar" serves a purpose! It re-directs vibration away from the grip and allows HOYT to really slim down the grip area, which in my opinion makes for a smaller and more comfortable grip. The T.E.C. series risers are brilliant, they look kind of funny but man do they work. Performance not looks is what it' s all about.

RE: HOYT/REFLEX

my buckskin and timberwolf both had wood grips and was not bulky in the grip.
I do not like the tec risers but I did like the cam and 1/2 and I did also love both of the reflex risers
I will also addthat in a side by side comparison of shooting the hoyt and reflex models I saw no difference in the preformance of either models However I will say there was a little more torque in the timberwolf than the rest of the bows but that is reasonable being the timberwolf has a higher IBO speed rating than the rest .

no difference in preformance only in style.
