RE: Browning Verado
I am also interested in Any INFO. I am looking into getting a bow and saw a package deal on a verado from a website called huntersfriend. It would be my first bow ever and would like to use it for target and tree stand hunting. any info would be great!

RE: Browning Verado
check out the website www.browning-archery.com
It'll give all the info on their bows. Seams like a pretty good bow for that pricetag. |
RE: Browning Verado
Hi everyone I'm new here. I have a Browning Verado from Huntersfriend. It's a excelent bow, no recoil (zero hand shock), fast ( about real 255 fps with chrono @ 29' 60 lb), short (good for ground blinds),and pretty much accurate.
I had a Browning F5 Tornado as my first bow and stay with Browning (PSE). I recomend this bow for everyone, not just for beginers. |
RE: Browning Verado
I know speed isnt everything but that doesnt seem that fast compared to the other bows on the market . that being said I still think browning makes a very nice bow
|
RE: Browning Verado
Well, the thing is that I said it is 255 real chrono tested not IBO speed, it suppose to be 313 IBO,that meansnaked string (without nock, peep, and silencers), 350 grain arrow, 70lbs. draw weight, 30" Draw Length, that's the perfect test, but may varies between each archer. So for me at 60 lbs and 29" that's 255 aprox in the machine. Every bow is belowwhat they advertise in the IBO speed, around 30%.
But as you said it'sstill a nice one! |
RE: Browning Verado
I couldn't help it...I bought one! I've been shooting it fo a couple of weeks now. It is pretty sweet. As far as speed goes, mine chronoed at 268fps. Now that is at 68#s, 28.5" draw, and an arrow that is a total of 407 grains. I have some arrows on order that should have a mass of around 365-370 grains. That should really speed things up. Very smooth draw, no buzz at all. Big improvement from my old PSE I bought in '91!

Excelent, congratulations!!!

RE: Browning Verado
From Huntersfriend? Did you buy the kit or bare bow? if the kit how is the stuff you got?
Thats where I found the info on it and they have a nice website. I still cant decide what to get. If i order from them I'm gonna drive there and try it out 1st. (only about 6 hour frive) Sean |
RE: Browning Verado
Yeah I got it from Huntersfriend.com. I was pleased with what they put on the bow. It was tuned and ready to go. You can replace/add different items that you want. If you don't want a whisker bisquit, they will put a hostage rest for no additional charge. The only gripe I could have is the Behman arrows they supplied with the bow set-up are a little on the heavy side but they still get you going. If I had to do it again tomorrow, (which I might for my wife's bow) I would do it again. Great staff, they work with you and do all the tedious tuning stuff for you. If you are only 6 hours way, I'd definately go by and see what they can do for you. Good luck!

RE: Browning Verado
Totally agree with you, not only just for the tunning thing, but for the info and the time the put on every aspect, really a nice webpage.
Maybe they just need a little more brand in their shop, that's all. But the Verado rules. :) |
RE: Browning Verado
Went to a sportsman show today. Found a fully dressed Mathews Dernalin for $699. its an 08 and the guy had it for a month and traded it in on a Crossbow. Left handed and 28.5 inch draw length.... just my size! perfect fit
fiberoptic sight with light. mathews quiver mathews drop away rest 5 arrows with broadheads.... looks BRAND NEW!!!! Sean What you guys think? |
RE: Browning Verado
WOW! Sounds like you got an absolute steal! Great buy!
|
RE: Browning Verado
Very good deal! You probably save about $300 dlls! for one of the best bows from mathews.
|
RE: Browning Verado
havent got it yet!!! wont have the cash till i get my income tax check!!!
might see if I can go test shoot it and see if he'll take a deposit Sean |
RE: Browning Verado
By the sounds of this bow it is really nice. i was wondering since the cams are so big on it how smooth it is??
|
RE: Browning Verado
If you are talking about the Verado, the cam is actually small. It is the mini trance cam. Plenty smooth...
|
RE: Browning Verado
i shot the bow at a small shop near my house was very pleased with it i ordered it offline cause unfortinaltley they didnt have my size but do you by any chance know the over all length of it from cam to cam?
|
RE: Browning Verado
Yeah, A2A its 31 7/8"...
|
RE: Browning Verado
When PSE started making all Browning's bows for them that was enough for me. Even though I'm a Mathews man, I was thinking about getting a Browning bow for my daughter but not now.
ORIGINAL: provb28 I know speed isnt everything but that doesnt seem that fast compared to the other bows on the market . that being said I still think browning makes a very nice bow |
RE: Browning Verado
I havehad my Verado for a few months now. Shoots great but the serving on the string that goes around the cam gets absolutely chewed to bits. I have re-served it twice and had the guy at the pro shop re-serve it also. The proshop owner said that is what he sees with single cam PSEs. Not real happy about that. I know it sounds like a little thing but the serving shows wear after only about 100 shots.
On a side note: Got a sweet deal on a lightly used 2008 82nd Airborne! Should have it in by Tuesday. Just finished ordering a kazaway rest, dampner, mod, and site for it. ![]() |
