RE: hostage pro

I use both and find that each has its advantages. I have been using the WB for several years and really haven't run into a situation where I had an issue with it. My vanes aren't twisted and I don't typically hunt in weather where the bristles would feeze. The Hostage Pro is on my hunting bow as we speak and I find it to be an extremely solid rest in terms of performance and construction. Probably my biggest gripe with the earlier version was the use of plastics. Now with the Pro series the rest is rock solid and extremely easy to setup.

I have the Hostage Pro setup on my New Ross Carnivore and it performed Great this past month in NE.

I was able to tag 2 Merriam gobblers with the setup in 20 degrees below zero temps. I got some frost bite on the trip, but no fault of the Hostage Pro!;)

RE: hostage pro

I use this rest for about 4 months and noticed the brushes kept wearing out I thought I was setting up the brushes to tight so I loosened them and still had the same problem. I have since switched to a drop away rest trophy taker extreme and am much happier but then again I shoot 4 to 5 times a week maybe 200 shots a day, for someone that doesnt shoot as much I could see where it makes a nice rest . It was a nice rest if the brushes wouldnt wear out.

I have the standard Hostage rest and it is ok, better than the WB because it does not wear out fletchings but it is not as consistant in accuracy due to the fact that the brushes do wear out. Why doesn't the Whisker biscuit brushes wear out?

Anyway, I'm going to switch to a QAD dropaway.
