New Release Aid...need advice

I'm looking at some new release aids. I have shot a Wynn freeflight for 15 years now...and it's an ok release. Not sure why I never tried others, but I'm sick of having my right hand partially immobilized by the release.

I am looking at the Scott Archery Mongoose and the TRU Ball Sniper....and other suggestions are appreciated as well as experiences with either release.

Thanks again.

If you are looking at a wrist strap style release, i would recommend the Scott for sure. I love my little bitty goose. I got mine off of ebay brand new for pretty cheap too.

Scott makes several nice releases, but the best wrist strap release I have ever shot is the Carter 2 Shot;)

The trigger on the 2 Shot is exceptionally crisp.

Dont disagree with you at all on the Carter. Its just a bit expensive for my taste for a trigger relase.

I shoot a Scott Mongoose, switching from the Scott Sabertooth. I love it.

Bought a Scott Little Bitty Goose RCS....love it! Shot in my basement last night. Big difference over the Wynn in trigger ease, very happy. I too would have bought a Carter, but I got the Scott new for $49 and couldn't pass it up.

Sometimes it's better to spend a couple of $ for the best product you can find. Do you think you will know the difference in a couple of years;)

I still have a couple of Scotts, but there is no comparison on the trigger pull of the Carter 2 Shot.

The Winn is not a very good release for many reasons. I have killed many animals with a Little Bitty Goose and it will perform well for you.

Just don't ever shoot a Carter or you'll be ruined[8D]

I haven't tried the 2-shot so I can't comment. On the other hand, I have a Carter Quickie 1 + and love it. I have to agree that spending a few extra dollars is typically money well spent!

I bought this one 2 weeks ago and it is pretty cool. It screws in and out to lengthen or shorten the release. It has a fold back design so that your release doesn't bag off metal and make noise like when your are moving around in your stand or coming down out. Has many adjustments. They added more holes. Gander sells them. Truefire Buckle Back

I'm sure I will keep my eye on the Carter QuickShot2now too, I guess the Scott can always be a back up...thanks for adding (again) to my buy list Dan. :D Last time I switched bows.

Now my curiousity is going to kill me, so I'm sure by summer I'll have one in the collection. I can never run out of things to try/buy.
