Need help deciding on a aarow rest and sights
I just got a new bow and I need to get sights and an aarow rest for it. I was wondering if someone could help me out deciding on which ones are good. I have heard about the whisker biscuit rest is that one good? And what is the " no peep" and how does it work? Thanks for all the help!

Some people swear by the bisquit and others swear at it--personal pref. i guess. The no-peep works well in my opinion--the purpose is to give you the same consistent anchor point without the peep sight.I think this will be awesome in low light conditions--early a.m. or just before dark.jmo.

RE: Need help deciding on a aarow rest and sights
There are so many good sights and arrow rests out there, but, there are alot of bad ones too.
One thing I CAN' T STRESS ENOUGH is the importance of the arrow rest and sight. In my opinion, these are the two most important accessories on a bow. I am currently using a N.A.P. QuickTune 3000 Micro Arrow Rest and a Toxonics Hybrid VI Sight. Why? The N.A.P. QuickTune 3000 Micro is a tough arrow rest. N.A.P. has a good reputation for building quality products. Also, this arrow rest is probablly the easiest to tune. There are three knobs to adjust windage, elevation, and spring tension. Each one has micro adjustment marks so you can really fine tune your arrows. The Toxonics Hybrid IV is a great sight. It is like most new sights, easy to adjust. Also, it features a circle pin housing for easier allignement of pins in the peep sight. The edge of the pin hosuing has a glow in the dark sticker on it so you can easily find your pins in low light conditions while also alluminating the pins in low light conditions. There is also a bubble level indicator to help you make sure that your bow is in a correct vertical position. It is amazing to see the how crooked some people shoot a bow without one. I know I was holding crooked. Now, this also will help in tuning the bow. Having a vertical bow is going to make the vertical and horizontal adjustments more " true" . Look for these characteristics in your sight and arrow rest. Don' t say " wow, that is expensive, maybe I should get a cheaper one" . These are VERY important parts of the bow, so, get the best ones that you can. |

If you go with any GKF rests you cant go wrong especially when all their products are backed by their Golden Guarantee for life!
and you cant go wrong with Toxonics for a sight! |
RE: Need help deciding on a aarow rest and sights
I put the whisker biscuit on three of our bows. My wife on son have the origonal, and I have the drop in. These are great for keeping the arrow in place. Quiet, smooth and inexpencsive.
I bought a Copper John Dead Nuts for my sight. My wife and son have a Tru-Gloe, which we are currently looking to upgrade. We are looking a Cobra Venam for the wife, not sure about my son. Hope this helps. Good luck... |
RE: Need help deciding on a aarow rest and sights
I use the Archers Choice five pin sight, the NAP Quicktune 4000 fall away rest, and I use the No Peep. I am well satisfied with all three. They sure make make for increased arrow repair bills. [&:]

Thanks for all the help so far, but what exactly is the no peep? I hear about it but have no idea what the heck it is and how it works.

To get a little more info on the no peep check out this post.
Towards the bottom, 98RedLine has some pretty good pics showing what the no peep looks like. Hope this helps |

NewYork,
Thanks for the help. So it hooks up directly under the sights and when you have the correct anchor point the dot and circle align and then you can put what ever distance of pin you need on your target then? |
RE: Need help deciding on a aarow rest and sights
Thats the way I understand it. I' m in the process of getting a no peep myself right now, so I haven' t had any first hand experience with it yet.
