Golden Eagle

I have been setting up a Golden Eagle bow that My dad got for me and I am having a ton of trouble getting any information on this bow. Appearently the company is out of business i was wondering if anyone here knows about Golden Eagle and if i took pics could someone tell me some about the bow or direct me to a website? Thanks.

Cool im just kind of wondering where you might be able to find parts for them like cams and such. I was wondering about the durability of the bow it seems to be a real nice bow and shoot pretty fast and smooth overall.

Golden eagle was bought up by Bear/Jennings in the late 90's. I shot them for years, they were a great bow for their time, and tough as nails as well. I had the Formula 3D, wich had 3 inch carbon fiber ''Lifts'' between the riser and the limbs. It blew up and i needed cams, they were so hard to get that i bought another golden eagle, wich i still have its the pro ultra revolution. hasnt been out of the case in a few years. I doubt you''ll ever find parts.

Thanks Tuma thats what i was looking for. Well i dont need any parts really its a split limb dual cam i have extra cams and the limbs are excellent I really like the bow though, So what I was wondering is who bought them out and who might be making a bow similar to this day I guess Bear is who i would look into when i invest in a new bow maybe the characteristics will be similar.

Yeah, you'd have a real tough time finding any parts for it other than strings or cables. Some of them had steel cables on them but the cam was made so that they could be upgraded to fiber cables. Check yours if it does have steel cables. That upgrade could gain you considerable speed. If it has a cast magnesium riser you're probably not going to find anything similar in today's market. Everything has gone to machined aluminum these days. When you go to replace it don't limit yourself, shoot everything you can get your hands on and make your decision on what fits you best. The worst thing you can do is go into it with some kind of preconceived brand bias.

Yeah this isnt my first bow just my firstGolden Eagle. I just really like the way this one feels so i was wanting to see what company might make a bow similar. My bow has the fiber strings and all I was just looking for some history. Thanks guys you both have given some useful information here.
