RE: Broadheads?????
Try shooting one of these,
$29.99 for 3 at BassProShop.
They have great ratings. I shoot these myself. They do perform better than any others I have used.
Rocky Mountain® Gator XP™ Mechanical Broadheads

Hope this helps,

The cheaper heads would be ok for shooting things that don't really matter, skunks, possums, tree rats, but I would go with more reputable brand for hunting game animals we plan on retrieving.Allen makes alot of components I've noticed but not sure they are class A stuff.Makes me think of AMF,remember they made bowling balls and Harley Davidson at same time and all were not worth a hoot!

OK, so what do you guys consider cheap and just how many of those cheap heads have you personally tested? I still say it's more about how well you can tune the equipment. Cheap, meaning price has little to do with flight characteristics. It's design and tuning.

IMO Slick Tricks are cheap ie inexpensive, (I think around $22 for 3) but they are very high quality. Muzzy's, Slick Tricks, Thunderheads are all excellent for the money.

Man, you guys are crazy for paying over 5 dollars for a broadhead.
I have killed I bet dozens with thunderheads. I get them in the spring for less than 28/6.
I can't say I have had trouble with them.Back in the day, I used muzzy 3 blade, again with no issue. I think I used bear 20 years ago.
Another affordable killer is magnus. I can't say I have not seen them penetrate 100%.
The one bh I threw away was some of those cabelas expandables about 8 years ago. Someone gave me 6 and I used them for coupdegrace shots or fox. They messed up my insert and I couldn't deal with that.

RE: Broadheads?????
I am a big fan of the fixed blade broadheads, I have always shot old school NAP razorbacks, but this year I picked up some 100 grain muzzy MX4s at cabelas on sale I got a 3 pack for 19 bucks, then went back and they had them in a six pack for 34 oh well just like me a day late and a dollar short. I am very happy with them they are tough and fly just as good as my field points do, they dont call them bad to the bone for nothing. I had a pass through on a doe at about 35 yards and took chunks out of 2 ribs on the way through.
