Default Old Bow

I have a Mountaineer Bow 1994. It still looks and shoots as good as new. It has 80% letoff and a drop away rest, and I take deer every year with it. This bow will go another 10yrs if taken care the way I have, But I am getting the urge to buy a new bow.

Shot a nice 8 pt. on Sept. 13 and a doe last Sat. in Wis.

After beginning my bowhunting career with old, hand-me-down bows, I don't consider it an old bow.
I think 10 yrs. ago, a 10 yr. old bow would be over the hill, but they've come a long way in recent years. Considering that new bows cost as much as rifles, they should last nearly as long.

I put on a drop away rest this year and am very pleased the accuracy

I've had my Hoyt MT Sport since 2001 and I still love it. Still shoots fast and I have killed and will continue to kill many deer with it. I see guys going out and buying a new bow every year and its nonsense! Shoot a few and then buy yourself a good bow (TAKE CARE OF IT) and you will shoot it for many years to come. Don't fall into the scam of annually buying the "latest and greatest" bow it is a complete waste of $$$.
