Predator vanes?
anyone try these as a otpion to blazers? I fletch my own arrows so i bought some of the 2inch ones to try. 9bucks for 50 so cheaper than blazers. I wanted to give them a try since they are .5 compared to the blazers .6 size so they should clear slightly better on a QAD rest.
I just hope they fly as well as blazers |
RE: Predator vanes?
I just switched to them a few weeks back. I was alsohaving clearance issues with my QAD rest. I really like the predator vanes, I get better adhesion with the predators and they seem to hold thier shape better than the blazers....oh yeah and they are a bit cheaper

RE: Predator vanes?
i notice the same thing also.. the stick to the shaft way better than blazers! I cant see a difference in flight either. I backed out to 40 yards and they were grouping great.

RE: Predator vanes?
I'm not sure $9 for 50 is cheaper, as F/S Archery Supply has Blazers for $14.95 for 100. Not arguing, but thought I'd throw that out there. I don't have a ton of experience with either, but I like the way the Blazers make my arrows fly. :D

RE: Predator vanes?
Myself anda couple buddieshave been shooting them for a couple seasons now and they work great........just like any other non-rubber style vane they take a little more attention to detail while fletching.
I like Fletch-Tite Platinum for these and with a good bead of glue. I tried different fast sets and would get the occasional "pop off" if another arrow would hit them. |
