Low end Nikon or Bushnell rangefinders??
 

My Nikon 440 had a complete meltdown in less than a year and I had not sent in the warranty card. They wanted $180 to repair a $200 dollar item. I sure liked the little fellow.

In the market for a new one and wonder if anyone has any feedback on the cheaper Bushnells VS the Nikons. I sure know I will be lost without one.

I want to buy this one but don't have the money, it looks like a good deal.

planter ,got a low end bushnell had it four 4 years been very good just called bushnell last week lost battery cover last year,they sent a new one free of charge,when they sell them online, for that ,and the reliability

In Bowhunting World last year, they did a study with Bushnell, and the high end range finders (Leica, Nikon, etc...). They all were withing a couple of inches of each other. For bowhunting, Bushnell is perfect.

I have the nikon 400 and it's got to be 6 years old. I havent even changed the battery and I use it everytime out. Good luck I hope whatever one you purchase lasts longer than a year. I think you had a stroke of bad luck my friend.

I've been using my Bushnell Yardage Pro Scout for several years with no issues. I do however, remove the battery after every hunt to help preserve the battery life. Around the time I bought mine, the Bushnell's had issues with battery life....ie: it was next to nill. I always bring extra batteries and like I said, remove the battery out of mine every time. It has never been a problem when I follow this process.
