The main difference is that the QAD has the ability to remain in the up/full capture position on a let down, where the ripcord will drop and potentially cause noise and the arrow to fall off, etc... Also IMO the QAD is alot smoother operating, all of the ripcords I've messed with seem kind of, for lack of a better word, grindy.

thanks jeremy3303 i wasnt sure the difference thats why i bought the ripcord due to it being a good bit cheaper...good info than
