What to do for back up bow?

What to do for back up bow?
I really, really need to get a back up bow. I sold off all my old bows about a year ago. Wish I hadn't done that[&o].
What I was thinking is I could try and locate an 04-05 Blacknightor I could get an 82nd and my very young Equalizer would play second fiddle. My only issue w/ the 82nd is there's no way I can physically max that bow out with 50-60lb limbs.
Any suggestions? I'm open to other bows (old and new), but I lean towards the speed bows just a touch

That's a good idea, im ocd. One of the reasons I'm considering a Blacknight is that I owned one previously until I switched to shooting lefty. I haven't tried the 82nd yet, but it's ancestry is pretty obvious. Of course, another Equalizer certainly won't kill me.

Why do you need a backup bow? I own two bows and shot the last one for 8 years and never needed a backup. My backup is being used by a neighbor that can't afford to buy a bow. Do people really have that poor of a reliability with their bows?

Back up, why?
Limb could develop a crack or splinter. I had it happen on a 4 month old bow.
You could accidently damage the string or cable.
Serving seperation on the cable or string, (I can reserve, but then I have to retune).
Things happen that could cause a trip to a dealer, a wait for some part, and a retune.
If I'm taking a few practice shots before my weekend hunt and something happens, I go get the other bow and go hunting, not to a dealer ect..

I like the idea of having something different as my backup bow.
I remember when I used to go hunting with a gun, I always had the opportunity to pick between two rifles or a rifle and a shotgun.
I could then tailor my hunt to my capabilities with either.
This would break up the day in day out routine that some hunters feel mid / late season.
Just my thoughts...

I bought a good backup on Ebay for $200 bare bow, then set it up with identical accessories as my primary bow. Then I practiced with it and got it dialed in. This shortens the learning curve significantly, IMHO.
I still have never had to use a backup though (knock on wood)!
