I was bow shopping yesterday. Of course I like the Hoyts but the other bow I really liked was the Ravage. I liked the grip and the balance. I also like that it was a little heavier than most short axle bows. I' m hoping to shoot one soon. The only thing I didn' t like was the $625 price tag.

rack buck,

The ravage is a nice bow. I can' t tell how it shoots, because the Alpine dealer I went too wouldn' t let me shoot. It was probablly because he didn' t want to choke on his own words.

This guy told me " The new BowTech Patriot has so much handshock, that if you aren' t wearing a wrist sling, it will literally fly out of your hand"

The funny this is that he wouldn' t let anyone shoot the Alpines, which, as he said " Without any accessories, are smoother, quieter, and more forgiving than any Mathews, BowTech, or Hoyt with everything on it"

I am still thinking about going back there and seeing if he will back up his claim, since I have shot the new Patriot since I was in there. I wonder what he would say if I told him about how the Patriot was the most SHOCK FREE bow I have ever felt, and by far the quietest. [>:][>:]

In response to Buck Magnets story, my buddy, who is an absolute archery freak,
owns a Bow Tech Patriot. He bragged up and down how sweet this bow was and let
me take a few shots with it. He wasn' t kidding. The Patriot is an awesome bow with
little or no shock when you pull the trigger. I' m a Mathews man and own an MQ32,
a very potent short bow, which I' ve taken many nice deer with, but I' ll give Bow Tech credit, the Partriot is top of the line material.

For a short hunting bow check out Diamon Stinger or the DOA. These bows are grreat shooters and plenty fast. The company really stands behind their products.
