NEW GRIZZ TRICK!!!
I got my new Grizz Trick sample today and is it one wicked Lookin head!!:D
The Fit and Finish is excellent as expected. The Blades are Super Razor Sharp! (careful!!) The way the blades and ferrules lock together is very similar to the original Tricks, but even more secure. It was noted that the washer has a side with rounded edges and one with square edges. The square edges are designed to go against the arrow shaft. Although they will work either way if you are not a perfectionist;) I put the Grizz Trick together in a breeze and screwed it down tight on my Maxima Hunter, it spun perfectly, and blades locked down in place with zero movement. Once the rain stops I'll get out and do some shooting and report back on this thread. I have to admit the finished product is very impressive, and I am anxious to see the results on some animals this Fall. Here's a pic of the Grizz Trick screwed on my Maxima Hunter:D Dan ![]() |

RE: NEW GRIZZ TRICK!!!

RE: NEW GRIZZ TRICK!!!
The cutting angle looks rather extreme, not tapered to the back at all. Looks like it will slow the head down on impact. Just my thoughts

Just my thoughts I have shot several animals with the Mags and have yet to not blow completely through an animal including a 450# Bear. With the Grizz Trick I'll just cut a Bigger Hole!:D Thanks for the input guys!;) Dan |
RE: NEW GRIZZ TRICK!!!
MeanV2,
I like to try the new Grizz's. Are they any quieter than the Mags? I know it's a moot point, but just wanted to know. Thanks, Dave |

Well since I never hear my ST Mags I couldn't answer that. |

ORIGINAL: Dave at Work Well since I never hear my ST Mags I couldn't answer that. Has it ever caused me a problem? No! Am I going to change to vanes because they are quieter? I will always have at least some feather fletched arrows in my stable. Bowhunters have used Feathers from the start and IMHO I don't think the noise made by feathers bother the Deer one bit. Dan |
RE: NEW GRIZZ TRICK!!!
I just got in from a shooting session from 20 to 40 yards with the New Grizz Tricks, and what I found was that even out of my Airborne 82nd which is pushing my Maxima Hunters over 300 fps, they fly right with my field tips.
I'm afraid even a Half Arse shot like me would tear upa serious amount of arrows if you shot at the same spot. It looks like Gary has produced another winner!! I'll post on the Razor Trick in a New thread later. Dan |
RE: NEW GRIZZ TRICK!!!
Man they make some sweet broadheads!
|
RE: NEW GRIZZ TRICK!!!
I just got my two samples today (1 Grizz and 1 razor) and I have to say that the Grizztrick isone bad arsed broadhead. I think it may be Garry's best work to date (except for the lack of a 125 grain head).;)
