I would use a good fixed blade....Muzzy, Slick Trick, G5 Striker.....etc, I am afraida mechanical would lack the needed penetration. Also, I would not go any higher than 100 grain, I would stick to the 75-90 grain range for that set up. Good luck and I hope all this helps.

I've recently got some Magnus Stinger's and I am thoroughly impressed. They fly well and are sharp as can be. I'd like to try the Slick Tricks as well. I hear nothing but good things about them. I'd like to try the new Grizz Trick.

Fixed blades with a minimum head weight of 100 grains. You may want to even think about 125's. The only mechanical I would consider is the one I just bought. The Trophy Ridge Undertaker looses no speed or penetration over slick tricks. I've shot both in the same media and the Undertaker actually out penetrated the Slicks. I added 20 grains of weight to the Undertakers to get them close to 125 gr.

The lighter setups shouldn't use lighter tips unless you are only shooting at targets and looking for maximum speed.

Wasp Boss Bullet 75 or 100gr, Magnus Stinger 85gr 4blade. Muzzy Phantom and Steelforce Phathead. Innerloc makes very good replaceable blade 75 and 100grain broadheads as well.

This year I'll be experimenting with a 2 blade mech-the Innerloc EXP and also the NAP Nightmare. I shoot a 50lb bow as well.

RE: broadheads?

Choose a head with 1 1/8" cutting diameter with 3 blades as a Meximum size you want. Cut on contact styles would probably be better, but some good choices are the Muzzy phantom, Magnus stinger, NAP Nitron, wasp boss bullet, sonics and similar style heads. You can check out my website for some more info on choosing the right head. www.broadheadtests.com . The key is keep the cutting surface moderate to enhance penetration.
