quiver question
I'm looking for a new quiver, and there are so many options out there, What does the best
any input we be great thanks |
RE: quiver question
The new Octane quivers are unequalled in features and quality.
Alower priced option is the Alpine Soft Loc. Dan |
RE: quiver question
I personaly like a two peice made for the bow I am shooting. The alpine softlocks are a good option for a 1 peice and resonably priced. If you take the quiver off when you shoot check out the quickee or bohning lynx qivers they seem to work well but are a bit noisy if you shoot with them attached.

RE: quiver question
I have both the Octane and the soft loc and both in one piece. I like the soft loc, cheaper, quite, and you can adjust the height without a problem. I have long arrows and that's a big plus and I was able to attach it on an angle for more arrow clearance at the bottom of the bow. The only thing I wasn't a fan of is the giant attachment that goes on the bow.
I like the Octane a ton...You can adjust it how ever you need, quiet, built very well. The magnets in the hood are awsome for inserting and removal. I've actually pulled the bottom of the arrow out of the rubber holder, left it hang from the magnet and took a shot....never moved. This is a nice feature when trying to get a second arrow quietly. The negatives on this....$120.00???, heavy, hoods not deep enough to totally conceal most expandables. I use rage2's for Turkeyand they stick out but I also use the G5 striker and that's perfect..best fixed head on the market in my opinion. |
RE: quiver question
While I havn't tried some of the newer quivers, the alpine soft-loc is the very first quiver that DIDN'T add noise/vibration and has 2 attach places for arrows besides hood. Very inexpensive too.

RE: quiver question
I really like the Alpine Soft-Loc 5 arrow quiver. It is extremely quiet, and adjustable without any fuss.

RE: quiver question
I've used a kwikee kwiver for years with no complaints. Put a Alpine Soft Lock on my new bow but have not used it hunting yet.

RE: quiver question
From my experience, I would stay away from the 2 peice quivers unless you have a case that is big enough to leave it attached, or its an octane wich is quick connect. Most of them arent, and much to my dismay, my bow wouldnt fit into my case with the quiver on. So everytime you go hunting you have to break out the allen wrench to put it on and take it off. It sure looked sweet, but after a couple ofhunts doingthat, I had to trade up for a one peice.

RE: quiver question
I use an Alpine Soft-Loc quiver. I works great. Have looked at the new Octane quivers, but I'm happy with my $40 Alpine.

RE: quiver question
ORIGINAL: RefusetoFollow I use an Alpine Soft-Loc quiver. I works great. Have looked at the new Octane quivers, but I'm happy with my $40 Alpine. I agree. I checked out the Octanes but they are too heavy and too pricey. My daughter (Diamond Liberty) and I (Bowtec General) both sport Alpines! |
