theyre muzzys. you cant really go wrong with a muzzy. id say 95% of the people on this site have shot them and owned them before. they are good and sturdy and an all around good broadhead. nothing fancy, just proven over and over again. i shot them for 6 years adn the only reason i swithched was just b/c. no real reason.

I took 3 deer with them last season, all complete pass-thrus.

Are you sure those are MX-3's, RLoving? MX-3's only come in one size: 100 grain.

Yeah, those aren't MX-3s... but I was gonna let him find that out for himself by asking some gentle questions. ;)

My bad didn't mean to let the group think they were MX3's,Actually I don't know what they are but great price and they shoot great and they're Muzzy's so for $20 I just have to hit the right spot and game over. Can't get away with anything around this bunch!:D

It doesn't help when you've got someone from just about every major manufacturer's pro staff represented around here... ;)

It's a great head... I just got in 10 packs of them and 4 additional packs of replacement blades.

I plan on shooting a lot of them. ;)

From my experience, they fly good. I think they are better than the regular 3blades in flight. I have shot both and preferred the MX-3. I have had good luck with the regular but haven't had the chance to use the MX-3 yet. Perhaps 5_shots can chime in. He's the broadhead tester in here.:D

Well in my opinion the MX-3 is the best head muzzy has put out. It flys well, penetrates great and hold up. It also has a little more cutting diameter compared the the standard 3 blades.

I like the MX 4's better than the 3's.

RE: Muzzy MX-3

Killed 2 deer in 06 with the MX4's, they couldnt have performed better. Both were complete passthrus, the doe i shot made it maybe 60 yds thru some real thick stuff and the broadhead looked perfect afterwards, the buck i shot with the same broadhead and blades (didnt even sharpen them) 2 weeks later doubled up at a dead run maybe 80 yds after the shot, thrust me U could find hundreds of hunters w/ stories like these. killed my first buck and a doe with the old school 3 blades they work great as well. Switched to MX3s last year they shoot well but didnt get to take any shots. Bottom line is you cant go wrong with muzzys, just find out what shoots best and you wont have to worry about your broadheads anymore.
