RE: Which new fall away rest should I get????
I curently have a ripcord on a Cardiac.I just put on a Limb Driver on my Vectrix today but haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. If I like it I will put one on the Cardiac as well. The ripcord is ok but as all drop away's I'm not crazy about tying in to the down cable.
I get no noise from the ripcord. I did put some moleskin on the arrow shelf. |

Limb Driver. Zero interference with the fletching, launcher stays erect until the last few inches of arrow travel (just in time to fall out of the way of the fletching), silent. I achieved more consistency when I replaced my TT Pronghorn with the Limb Driver.

RE: Which new fall away rest should I get????
It kind of depends on what you want in a drop away rest. The Limbdriver sounds like a nice rest, but I prefer the mental assurance of a full containment type rest. I have a QAD Hunter rest ($50) and it works great. Never had any issues with it. So my preferences would be either the QAD or the Ripcord style. Security like the Whisker Biscuit, but the benefits of a drop away. I just like to know that there isNO WAYthe arrow is going to fall off the rest in any situation.

RE: Which new fall away rest should I get????
QAD HD seems to be just fine on my bowtech airborne

RE: Which new fall away rest should I get????
i put the limbdriver on and really like it i put mine on an x force,i had the muzzy zero effect on three different bows and loved em quiet and easy to tune, but the muzzy will not work on the x force or a fred bear truth,i don't think you would have a problem with the limbdriver know matter what ya put it on.if your muzzy is making that much noise and vibration there is a good chance your fletching is hitting your arm before it gets out of the way............Ted

RE: Which new fall away rest should I get????
I would go with the QAD Ultra Rest HD Pro and if you have a fast bow have them put the raise fork that comes in the package. I've had the biscuit, bowtech's version of bushes, and the trophy taker xtreme..It's not even close full containment, quite, flawless on both bows well into the 10,000 shots without a defect. If you have a question their tech support answers right now....I'm not a believer in plastic hence the trophy taker but I am now!!

RE: Which new fall away rest should I get????
So if i am stuck between trophy taker, QAD and Limb Driver what do you think????
|
RE: Which new fall away rest should I get????
I say QAD, but I think the main question you have to ask yourself is "Do I want a full containment rest or not?"
|
RE: Which new fall away rest should I get????
What are the pros and cons of containment??? Other than the obvious of keeping your arrow "contained"?
|
RE: Which new fall away rest should I get????
Other than the obvious, I think the biggest advantage of a rest like the QAD or Ripcord is that you can lock the launcher in the upright position with your arrow knocked and ready to go. On other rests and even other full containment rests like the Trophy Taker, the prongs only go upright upon drawing the bow. So the arrow floats around on top of the shelf or prongs instead of in the prongs. This can cause noise in itself, and there is the possibility of the arrow even falling off on some certain types of rests. The advantage of the QAD over the Ripcord, is that the prongs will still stay in the upright position if you have to let down on the draw. The Ripcord will let down, and you face the same problem with the arrow sitting on top of the prongs instead of in them.I think the QAD just gives you an extra sense of securitythat I feel most of the others do not. Just myopinion.

RE: Which new fall away rest should I get????
I have the QAD Ultra on both of my hunting bows. Completely satisfied.
|
RE: Which new fall away rest should I get????
I went from the Rip Cord ( and didn't really have one complaint with them) to the QAD PRO HD ULTRA and I like these if not better than the Rip Cords. I have them all three of my Mathews bows.

RE: Which new fall away rest should I get????
QAD pro on My Katera and it works great but I've heard a lot of good things about the Limbdriver. I just ordered a vapor trail string/cable set from them...we'll see how it goes.

LIMB DRIVER!!!
|
RE: Which new fall away rest should I get????
I have the Ripcord and really like it. I have shot the Whisker Biscuit but prefer the dropaway.

RE: Which new fall away rest should I get????
I use a Trophy Ridge dropzone. It works great, but I'm not sure I am going to keep using it because I liked full containment I hadon my QAD when I was using it. I also think, but not sure, that the Dropzone is noisy. It may not be, but I don't think its my sights and I shoot a General so I know its not the bow itself.
