stolen bow
I woke up last night to learn that my vehicle had been broken into. One of the many things stolen was my bowcase with bow inside. Also rangefinder. I believe that insurance will cover it. Just wondering, if you were in the market for a new bow (the works, sights, rest, arrows, ect...) with no spending limit what would you buy.

RE: stolen bow
I had a friend recover two bows that were stolen from him. One was about a year later a guy showed up at league's one night with it. He took it from him, got the numbers off it and put it be hide the counter. He told the guy it was his bow and he wanted to know how he got it. He said he both it from a friend. Erv found out who he both it from and filed charges. One was stolen out of is sons car and about two are three days later when a guy called the shop wanting to know how much the bow was worth. He said he would haft to look at it and would be right over to his house to look at it. He called the law. The guy only lived down the street from his house. He was a druggie and just had gotten out of jail for sealing.

RE: stolen bow
I shoot a Mathews and love it. My suggestion to you, though, is to shoot about a million different bows and narrow it down. Then if possible shoot the last ones blindfolded (very close to the target, obviously). This way you can get a feel for each bow, since I think feel is the most important thing in a bow, it will make you confident and confidence will only make you a better bowhunter. Brand shouldn't matter.

RE: stolen bow
It depends on what type of shooter you are? I'm a Bowtech/Diamond fan so I would suggest the Black Ice or Allegiance but again, what feels right to you? Maybe you can withstand the harsher draw of the Airborne's and shoot them accurately then I say go for them! Pesonally, and I know we arent talking about me here, but I was seriously eye balling the 82 Airborne but it came down to between the Black Ice and the Allegiance, ultimately chose the Black Ice because it felt the best and shot the best for me.
Also, if your hunting buddies are Matthews fans like mine are, then be different and get a Bowtech. They'll be jealous, trust me. |

RE: stolen bow
Go to the local bow shop and tell them you want to shoot some of their bows,if they want to sell you one they will set them up to your draw length and let you shoot them, find the one that fits you best, the one that just feels right in your hand.I just bought a new one a few years back and this was what a friend of mine that owns a bow shop told me.He said pick what fits and feels right, reguardless of the name.Look at quality bows that are backed by good warranties,I shot several before I bought my martin and I'm very happy with it.

RE: stolen bow
i love my x-force... but i shot the general andliked it but it was a little slow and very heavie for walking around all day with. i don't know if you know about this but your not supose to keep your bow in the car it will warp the string and do other bad things to your bow . just future refrence for your new bow

RE: stolen bow
Lot's of nice bows out there. Try as many as you can get your hands on. Last year I thought I knew what bow I wanted until I shot it and ended up with the Allegiance. Bottom line is until you shoot it you will not know and for the price of today's bows you do not want to be unhappy just because someone told you to buy a certain bow.

RE: stolen bow
BowTech! My Guardian is the best bow I have ever shot. I guess its a good thing that it didn't happen right in the middle of hunting season. Just shoot 'em and decide for yourself, thats what matters.
