Default Any ideas needed!

I just bought a trophy taker drop away from a buddy of mine and i love it, but theres one problem. I shoot Feathers and every shot i take it is striping my feathers off the shaft. I dont no what i is i have mole skin on it but it keeps striping every side off. Does this mean i should switch to vanes or something else. What i thought it was when the person installed it the string is not low enough and everytime it drops the sting is cutting them off. ANY ideas would be great!

With a drop away you should be getting complete clearance and if that were the case you would not be damaging your feathers. There is a problem with the setup or on the timing of the rest. It evidently needs to be set to drop a tad earlier
