I shoot the Grim Reaper razor tips. They haven't failed me yet, fly just like a field point, every deer iveshot hasn't gottenmore than 60 - 70 yards. You should go to their web site and watch the videos of their tests. They out penetrate and more durable than any broadhead they tested. and they tested muzzy, thunderhead all the major brands except maybe the Rage don't think it had hit the market yet. They shot the razor tip through a 50 gal. steel drum, it penetrated the front and started to go through the back, and didn't hurt it a bit, still fully functional.... its unbelievable.

Grim reapers are a force to be reckoned with. I traded the Rage 3 blade in for them and havent looked back.

Just make sure the blades are neither too tight or too loose. Going in and out of a quiver can loosen them up and if they deploy in flight it can really screw up the aerodynamics. Too tight and they may not open up properly. One great thing about the Grim Reapers is you can shoot them opened up if for some reason where, or who you are hunting with does not allow mechanicals.

I switched to a fixed blade this year (Hellrazors) because I was tired of checking the blades everytime I climbed up, and because changing the blades is more work than resharpening a fixed blade.

The terminal performance is incredible. I shot a 350# Black Bear in June. 18 yard shot...15 FOOT recovery.

Good Hunting,

[align=left]I shot 2 deer this year both pass though, both easy to follow blood trail, no more than 60 yards. Fly just like me field points. 85 grains, carbon express 350, 28 1/4", 300 fps, out of a switchback
