RE: What brand of bow
havent tried browning bows, but i have a bowtech and love it. mathews, pse, bowtech, hoyt, diamond they are all good ones to try. the only thing i can tell you and you will find that everyone here will probably agree is go to your local bow shop and shoot, and see which bow feels good to you and go from there.

RE: What brand of bow
there's a TON of great bows out there... I'm sure i'm gonna miss a few, but here goes.......
Bear
Browning
High Country
Mathews
Hoyt
PSE
Bowtech
Ross
Martin
Parker
Pearson
Reflex
Diamond
Mission
Elite
Darton
Whisper Creek
Redhead (bass pro house brand, i think made by bowtech)
Guide Series (gander mt house brand, made by bowtech)
Alpine
Limbsaver (brand new to bows this year)
that should cover most of them, though I'm sure i've missed several... all have some great quality bows... i suggest shooting as many as you can before you decide... there will be one or two that really stand out, buy those ones... I ended up buying a used Ross and i'm very happy with it... but you gotta get what comfy for you... you might like mathews, i personally didn't care much for 'em, but that's cuz i wasn't comfy shooting it, some guys swear up and down they are the best there is...
happy hunting!!!! at least its a fun hunt trying to find your new bow... most fun i've had shopping in a LONG time...
