About Stabilizers

I own a sports store and just starting to carry archery products. I'm pretty much set for a start up but I need some information on stabilizers. I know all you veteran archers have your favorites and reasons why you like them. Please share your knowledge. There are so many out there different lengths, weights, diameters etc. I'm mainly looking in to ones for hunting and general target practice. Thank you for your time. Stevieb

RE: About Stabilizers

For hunting, I have been very happy with the Simms S-coil and Mini S-coil stabilizers. Primarily, they tend to quiet down the bow and provide a limited amount of counterbalance low and forward.

Personally I have never seen a heavy s-coil. I would have to say that even the bigger s-coil is lighter than any of the fuse stabilizers.

Anyway, for a stocking purpose at a store, I would stock limbsaver, fuse, and doinker. I'm sure there are many more I'm forgetting but that would be a decent start.

yes, it works great for taking vibration out of the bow, probably not as good as the s-coil. The reason I am using it is because I like a little more forward weight and this stabilizer has that with the weight on the end but is not heavy because of the lightweight carbon of the stabilizer. Hope this helps.
