piston point mech broadheads

Has anyone used these broadheads and if so how well did they work?Do you have to leave the rubber retaining band on the broadhead when in the field or do you take it off?I ask because i dropped one of my arrows from my stand 20' and when i got down after my hunt the head did not expand when it hit the ground, the band kept it from doing opening,i know the impact on a deer is much harder but it does worry me a bit.Would appreciate any feed back.

Good luck out thier.

The rubber band stays on when shooting all mechanicals. If not they will open up before they ever leave the bow and talk about irradic flight.
