after shoting the rage breadhead at a deer and then into the ground, why dont the blades stay in the closed position. i've replaced the o-ring and everything and cant get them to stay shut. the blades show no sign of damage either.

i tried these heads this year and dont like them. they did a number on a doe but they seem weak and always have to check the blades they come off the rubber band on any little bump..

The ferrule by the o ring is damaged most likely, see if you see new grooves cut into it.

I have shot three deer this year, from ten to thirty five yards. The problem is the blades are not in the O ring all the way, therefore it will randomly come out. The top part of the blade, (not the sharp part) squeez this in for tweenty seconds or so and this should make the blade stay in the O ring. Again I have not really had a problem with this. I am shooting a Switchback XT 60pd draw, I love these broadheads! Hope this helps

related question... everytime I put the Rage in a quiver it opens up, what do you do about that?

Ah the joys of mechanical broadheads! Yes i've had the same problem, you just have to VERY carefully put them in. Depending on what kind of quiver you have, mine has pre-made slots but still if I don't put them in right they will open up. Hope this helps!
