RE: fred bear bows

I shot the Bear Element and Instinct at Cabela's last week. It is a smooth fast bow. At the 20 yd range I shot 4 arrows into about a 3" group. Not bad considering I wasn't used to the bow or the release. The 75% let off was really nice. And with the single cam you don't have that sudden drop in weight. To me it seemed that as soon as you hit the back wall the weight wasn't there. The Cost for the basic bows was 299 for the element and 399 for the instinct. Not bad, but with me going on an elk hunt in about 2 weeks - I'll stick with my High Country.

LOVE my Element!

Took my 1st bow deer ever this morning w/it. (Doe) At about 5 yds. Nearly straight down shot. Can't see any reason to spend more $$$$. ;)
