Easton AXIS or Gold Tips
I've been shooting Gold tip for the past 5 years and the only gold tip dealer nearby is gone. Now everyone else sells Easton. Should I switch to the Easton or stick with gold tips and just order them online. Any advice? I need a new dozen soon and need to decide. Thanks

RE: Easton AXIS or Gold Tips
Your title asks whether Easton AXIS or Gold Tip. These are two completely different arrows. If you're used to the Gold Tips then you will notice that the Axis is a smaller diameter, heavier walled shaft. It's going to be a little more durable, but be prepared for a significant speed drop.
Easton does make several standard size (.294") carbon arrows, so you could look at some of them. Just make sure you have the right spined shaft for your setup.

Never shot gt, but switched from carbon express to easton axis this year and wow, what a difference. The axis is a bit slower but hits like a freight train. I bought an off-brand broadhead target this year and Ihave half by arrow through the other side at 25 yds, while by buddy shooting the gt doesn't even penetrate the back side. I'm sold on the axis and now my buddy is as well.
